Default Research Assistant Automation - UK

Cambridge Antibody Technology (CAT), with its distinctive science and culture, is central to AstraZenecaî–¸ plans to establish a major international presence in the research and development of biological therapeutics.

Join our exceptional Automation team and help us meet the many challenges that CATî–¸ new horizons present.

You will help to evaluate current laboratory practices and devise methods of automating practical work so that it can be performed in a more streamlined, efficient and consistent manner.

This will include helping to install, test and validate new laboratory automation and helping to train and advise users on the optimal use of laboratory automation.

A BSc or HND/C in a Life Sciences subject or Computing is essential, and laboratory skills in microbiology, molecular biology or assay work would be desirable.

Communication and collaboration with others forms a major part of this role. We are looking a proactive team player with good interpersonal skills and a passion for personal development who will be committed to helping us achieve our ambitious goals. Ideally you will have experience in a focused laboratory environment and a quality-conscious, well organised approach.
