HEAD of HIGH-THROUGHPUT Screening Facility

This is a new and exciting post to establish and develop a cell-based screening facility within the Beatson Drug Discovery Programme in Glasgow, UK. The facility contains a tissue culture room, siRNA libraries, the required liquid handlers, plate readers and Operetta HCS microscope, all equipped with robotic arms for automatic screening.

We are seeking an individual who can take on screening projects, in particular whole-genome siRNA screens and large-scale data set analyses. You will head the screening group, supported by the bioinformatics and IT units, and will work closely with all research groups at the Institute. You will be directly involved in assay development and analyses.

A relevant PhD and a minimum of three years postdoctoral experience in an
appropriate field are essential. Experience with HCS microscopy would be an
advantage.

Salary scale: ?3,300 to ?7,100 (starting salary dependent on experience)
