Microarray Manufacturing Equipment Engineer: Italy + Travel

TwoF, Inc. is the parent company of Molecular Stamping, a USA-Italian startup biotech company developing a radically disruptive technology discovered at MIT for fabricating DNA microarrays. They are looking for a highly creative process development and manufacturing engineer who can be the strategic mastermind for reducing this IP to practice.

The ideal candidate is a Mechanical or Chemical Engineer (Polytechnic School) having a minimum of 5 years experience in a production or technical function, with a manufacturer of high precision instrumentation or process equipment. 1-2 years of experience of product development in industry are a plus.

S/he will:

• manage the development, evolution and performance of automated equipment to be used for manufacturing DNA microarrays with a proprietary technology.
  
• coordinate and supervise the outsourcing of design and manufacturing of these tools, and will be responsible to ensure compliance to specifications.
  
• supervise the evolution of subsequent generations of tools, be capable of keeping up with increased volumes, changing technical requirements, and rising quality standards.

The suitable candidate has a Masters or PhD degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering and ability to operate 3-D CAD software.

Compensation is competitive with international standards, and might include stock options and stable employment contract, depending on qualifications and experience. The job location is Trento with frequent trips to Lodi (Milan), and other destinations in Europe and North America.
