As the Field Area Manager, you will be responsible for selling Laboratory Automation and Integration products and services. In addition, you will establish and maintain customer relationships to build strategic relationships and a loyal customer base.

Specifically you will manage assigned sales in your territory to maximize growth potential. You will build and maintain relationships with key accounts in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and academic markets. You will develop strong position of Thermo Fisher Scientific in the target market areas of Drug Discovery, Genomics, Proteomics and identify profitable opportunities for business development. A seasoned relationship manager, you will respond to customer inquiries and develop solutions with new technologies. You will develop proposals, quotes, deliverable time frames based on customer specifications and requirements. Identify and solidify relationships with strategic and key accounts. Prepare and maintain sales forecast information on CRM. Document customer communications using CRM package and provide regional representation at trade shows and industry events.

Ideally you have a Bachelor or Masters Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or Business Administration combined with five years of experience selling robotic, liquid handling, automation and integration solutions. You enjoy working hard and constantly look to seize opportunities and drive to the finish. You have a strong customer service orientation combined with interpersonal savvy. Finally, you are a skilled negotiator who will use your planning, knowledge of how organizations work and priority setting to excel.
