Can anyone recommend a low cost 96 channel plate washer that has the ability to retain super paramagnetic particls (eg, dynal, estapor) during the wash (aspirate) and dispense steps ?

If you already have a 96-well capable plate washer, you could try adding one of the 96-well magnetic sperarators to the plate carriage and seeing if it has sufficient strength to hold the particles during the wash stages.

You'll probably have to reduce the aspirate & dispense speeds to a low level to avoid dislodging the beads. Some of the one listed here (http://tinyurl.co.uk/hnu3) should fit under a standard SBS footprint.

Don't know if that's any help?

You should try the Biotek ELX405 Magna Washer using the Simbiotix MagnaSim96B Magnetic plate adapter. Ask Biotek for a demo so that you can validate before you make a purchase.
