Can anyone recommend a low cost 96 channel plate washer that has the ability to retain super paramagnetic particls (eg, dynal, estapor) during the wash (aspirate) and dispense steps ?

You'll probably have to reduce the aspirate & dispense speeds to a low level to avoid dislodging the beads. Some of the one listed here (http://tinyurl.co.uk/hnu3) should fit under a standard SBS footprint. Don't know if that's any help?
