I'm looking for an inexpensive off the shelf XYZ system to use for some custom applications in my lab. So far everything I've found is in the mid-high 20K range.

I'm hoping to find something in the 5-10 range.

it doesn't have to be fast (6in/sec is fine). Or particularly accurate. I'm only accessing 2ml tubes with a probe, not 1536 well plates. And doesn't need to have a heavy load. My head is problably 10lbs at most.
I do need to be able to control it through my own software however.

Anyone have a sugestion?

Thanks,
Lance

you might look for glue and paint dispensers - typically found in the paper and packaging trade magazines; you can get a good dispenser for under 3K that might fit your needs

Lance,

I have an XYZ stage, with all wires, limit switches and 3 profibus motor controllers I would let go for $10K it has little to no hours on it and it was originally a $75K or so stage. It is from Bayside now a division of parker.

If you are interested shoot me an email and I can send you pics. Shipping and packaging would be extra. You will need a profibus control card as well for it.

I belive the z-axis has a brake on it as well.

Sincerly,

Todd Basque
