Panacos Pharmaceuticals is an early-stage biotech company focused on discovery and development of novel antiviral drugs. We are seeking a motivated and talented individual to join our rapidly expanding drug discovery team as Manager of High-Throughput Screening. Position requires a B.S. or M.S. in biological science, chemistry, or engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience. Candidates must have prior experience in some form of high-throughput screening or analysis. Experience with robotic systems and database management preferred. Individuals with cell culture experience and a background in virology or immunology are strongly encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of high-throughput screening operations, including compound library storage, reagent acquisition and preparation, cell and virus culture, equipment maintenance and operation, and data organization and analysis. The candidate will run a variety of high-throughput ELISA-type assays and will be responsible for cherry-picking hits for secondary screening.
