Responsibilities

Applicant will work with leader of the automation group to develop automated fabrication systems and processes for MEMS-based, implantable drug delivery devices. Responsibilities will include:
Develop aseptic micro-scale filling processes
Develop sealing testing processes
Develop automated equipment for filling, sealing and testing drug delivery products (including software development)
Manage on-site clean room


Qualifications and Skills

3+ years robotic process development and validation
Familiarity with computer controlled robotic systems incorporating machine vision, motion control, fluid dispensing, and communication protocols (RS-232, GPIB, etc.)
Ability to plan, execute and document well-crafted experiments with minimal supervision
Proficiency with process control software
BS+ in Mechanical or Chemical engineering
Background in heat transfer and/or fluid mechanics
Desired Skills
Critical and logical thinking, strong problem-solving initiative
Good hardware/software debugging skills
Hermeticity and hermetic testing
Clean room / aseptic environment experience
Knowledgeable in technical/regulatory requirements re: Aseptic processing
Selection and management of vendors
Machine design experience
CAD design and detailing (SolidWorks preferred)
