Wee now looking for an experienced professional to join our Informatics & IS department which develops, delivers and supports the discovery information platform for information management and exploitation.

Youl focus on the management and use of scientific information during the lead identification and optimisation phases of drug discovery, including compound design and synthesis and biological screening. As well as introducing new applications and techniques for managing and exploiting data, youl take a leading role on local and global informatics/IS projects whilst giving our scientists the specialist coaching and training that will benefit their work.

Youl bring at least two years?experience in a drug discovery informatics role, familiarity with a range of data analysis applications and mining tools, plus a degree in a related discipline such as Chemistry, Pharmacology, Biochemistry or Toxicology. IS/IT development experience is a must and you will have knowledge of information modelling and databases. We would also welcome applications from people with a Computer Science degree and significant experience in a relevant scientific environment. Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills are important and, with plenty of initiative and an adaptable approach, you can work well in a variety of project and team situations.
