Array BioPharma is a drug discovery company creating new small molecule drugs through the integration of chemistry, biology and informatics. AUTOMATION RESEARCH ASSOCIATE/ASSOCIATE SCIENTIST
We seek a self-motivated scientist who wishes to broaden their experience in laboratory instrumentation. This person will program, operate, calibrate, and maintain automation equipment; help construct equipment validation protocols; automate, validate and run primary drug discovery HTS assays; process and manage related screening data; develop detailed SOPs and summary reports; help manage supplies, reagents and inventory. This person will also assist and act as backup to the existing Biology Sample Bank Coordinator regarding daily BSB routines. This person will have 3+ years of laboratory experience. Familiarity with most laboratory instrumentation is required. Two or more years of experience with laboratory instrumentation and computer controlled systems (integrated screening platforms, pipetting stations, activity detection instruments), and/or, experience developing and running plate-based biological detection assays, is desired. Ideal candidate will be familiar with design and development of biological discovery assays to identify bioactive samples from compound libraries for potential new drug therapies. This person will possess strong desire, willingness and ability to learn new instrumentation, software and laboratory techniques. Must be willing to work with general chemical and biological hazards, and possibly radioactive materials. Excellent communication and customer service skills, strong organizing skills, detail-orientated, a flexible work style, and commitment to working in and fostering a team environment are all necessary skills for this position.
