A position is available for a person with a strong grasp of programming fundamentals and relational database systems. A background in chemistry or a related discipline and familiarity with Visual Basic and Oracle are highly desirable. Familiarity with VB.Net, PL/SQL, Java, ASP, database design, HTML, client/server programming is a plus. Strong oral and written communications skills and the ability to work with scientists in multidisciplinary teams are essential.

The successful candidate will contribute to the development and support of a novel laboratory information system designed to help manage diverse information relating to the automated synthesis of combinatorial libraries, to high-throughput analysis, and to compound purification. This includes information stemming from combinatorial library design, automated laboratory processes, chemical analysis and substance management. S/he will support existing systems, including in-house developed programs, and write new software as required. S/he will work as part of an interdisciplinary team which designs, builds, acquires and evaluates software and data systems for laboratory automation and information management. Travel between the Lawrenceville, NJ and Wallingford, CT Research sites (1-3 days per month) will be required.
