Position
We are actively looking for a Field Service Engineer. This person will be responsible for providing outstanding technical service for our East Coast customers. Service includes:
- telephone troubleshooting;
- mechanical, electrical, and software support;
- travel to the customer site to diagnose problems and perform maintenance;
- updates to the service and client databases; and
- communication with Velocity11 manufacturing and design teams to solve recurrent problems.
The Field Service Engineer is an integral part in maintaining an excellent relationship with the client. This is an ideal opportunity to work with a talented and energetic team to help build a highly profitable and successful company.
Job base is in south-central Connecticut (New Haven area). Possible 15% travel outside of territory. Velocity11 corporate headquarters are in Palo Alto, CA.
Requirements
- A BS in mechanical or electrical systems and hands on experience with machines is required. Equivalent work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
- Biotech experience strongly desirable.
- Excellent English communication skills required.
- Candidate must live in south central Connecticut or be willing to relocate.
