Summary: Sells Zymark Automated Solutions involving chemistry, hardware, software and services by performing the following duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities The following is a listing of the results/accomplishments expected in performing this job and the job's essential or most important functions and responsibilities by which people achieve the results.
Responsible for territory sales (bookings) based on historical booking trends, active pipeline, and sales person's experience with Zymark products and services.
Responsible for selling product within the prescribed pricing outlined by Product Management.
Uses direct sales calls, seminars, and in-house vendor shows to communicate Zymark's products and services to increase awareness within targeted accounts.
Will develop strong relationships with customer champions at Zymark accounts with a view on the long term to help Zymark assure current and future solution fir with the technical market.
Responsible for all account sales activities at a tactical level including managing Mail Lists, User Lists, Forecasts, Project plans, quotations, all relationships, and time/territory management
Sets and manages customer expectations throughout the life of projects and ongoing through the relationship with the customer.
Demonstrates Zymark solutions by utilizing our Technical Specialists, Applications Lab and by working with other in-house resources.
Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, preferably in a science discipline A minimum of five years of Capital Equipment Sales experience in the Bio/Pharmaceutical Industry is required; 7-10 years preferred. Experience with Microsoft Office software, particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint (or equivalent) required, with sales database experience a plus. Having previously worked in a Pharmaceutical or Biotech Company is highly desirable.
