Science is all about making connections. Each discovery builds on those that came before it, and every idea requires a body of knowledge built up over a lifetime. Life is like that, too. The connections you make with people and places are what make you feel part of something larger than yourself. And thatî–¸ the feeling you get at Roche. Not only do you get to share ideas with some of the best minds in the world, you get to share your days with some of the best people in the world, and still have plenty of time left over for the other things in your life that you enjoy.

We are currently looking for a Scientist to work in our Nutley, NJ Headquarters.

Responsibilities:
Major responsibilities include support of the Zeiss, Sagian and Tecan robotic systems and workstations such as Plate Mate, Tomtec and Biomek, used in High Throughput Screening. Also, support a variety of microtiter plate dispensers, washers, and readers. This includes functioning as the resource person to assist in trouble-shooting and programming of the scheduling software and crash recovery. Interface with Assay Curators and service personnel to perform training, preventive maintenance, and integration of new equipment into the robotic systems.

Requirements:
BS/MS (or equivalent) in Computer Science, Chemistry, or biological science with hands-on experience working with automated robotics systems. Familiarity with windows programming, Visual Basic, or C++ is preferred. Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills are a must.

To apply online, visit our website at: www.rocheusa.com and enter requisition 1246 to apply, or e-mail your resume to [email protected]. Please include requisition number 1246 in the subject line of your email.
