Title: Research Assoicate, Tissue Culture (HTS)
Position Deliverables:
In this role, you will be the key person overseeing Infinityî–¸ cell culture facility. You will maintain and grow cell lines and primary cells, and deliver enough cells for primary screens. Responsibilities include ensuring that the facility is stocked (medium, antibiotics, etc.), maintaining frozen cell stocks (liquid, nitrogen), and complying with safety regulation rules. Along with the HTS team, you will participate in Assay Development activities including set up, robotic validation and screening campaigns of new cell based assays (reporter gene, protein secretion assay, High Content Screening assays, phenotypic assays), and you will ensure that mycoplasma testing is done on a regular basis.
Position Requirements:
This position requires a B.S. and a minimum of 2 years?experience growing primary and immortalized cell lines. It also requires experience expanding, growing and plating HTS quality cells, or facilitating smooth scale-up and production of HTS quality cell cultures. You should possess experience setting up and maintaining a tissue culture room or facility (maintain tissue culture incubators and hoods), as well as experience with transient transfections and HTS reporter gene assays and other cell based assays. Experience with HTS automated liquid handling is a plus as is experience maintaining accurate records of cell passage and location of stocks.
