Title: Director of Technology Development ?Biological Technologies

Position Deliverables:

- Manage the identification and evaluation of technologies to complete the build out of the technology platform
- Current Development programs include SMM confirmatory methods, Target ID
- Future areas of interest include transcriptional profiling, biomarkers, ADME and toxicology, selection of disease relevant models, proteomics
- Help assess build, buy, lease or partner scenarios for current and future platform needs
- Help develop a long technology strategy to meet IPI platform product and productivity needs
- Track and assess emerging technologies
- Build group possessing diverse and reusable skills to meet current and future needs


Position Requirements:


- PHD in the biology, physical biochemistry or physics
- 7- 10 years of experience
- Established track record
- Expertise in genomics / proteomics and the technologies serving these disciplines
- Experience with managing diverse skill sets and projects
- Experience at the cutting edge, technology and vision
- Ability to think outside the box
- Experience in pharmaceutical discovery and development a plus
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build strong working relationships with groups possessing diverse skills and working at various stags of the drug discovery process
