013498 Work on a one-of-a-kind technology ?label-free, high throughput screening system ?first to market. Will revolutionize biomolecular screening.
This position and the new hireî–¸ vision will assist in development of an applications lab from the ground floor for this novel technology. Their efforts will fuel the adoption of this technology in the market.
New hire will work with world leading scientists for this technology and work on state of the art exploration ideas with customers using the Epic?System.
Qualifications
Required Skills:
* Able to prioritize and schedule lab work under pressure of customer satisfaction
* Customer facing skills. Able to listen to what customers want and issues they are having with the system. Be able to establish strong relationships with customers and gain their trust. Must be viewed as a respected authority on the technology among customers.
* Intimate knowledge of proteins (nature/behavior of proteins, conformation states, interaction with other molecules/reagents)
* Knowledge of cell behavior and cell-based assays
* Biomolecular screening experience (assay development, screening preparation, screening execution, lead profiling/characterization). Creative in applying new technology to develop assays and achieve biomolecular screening results
* Well-trained in the scientific method ?thinking through tough issues and putting together a logical plan to address and find answers (develop hypotheses, develop most economical approach to experiments, sound data analysis)
* Proficient with prevalent data analysis software
Desired Skills:
* Proficiency with lab equipment - basic problem diagnosis and repair
Soft Skills:
* Succinct and proficient writing style for writing application notes and publications
* Capturing inventions in IDs and patent applications
* Ability to capture thoughts and present well for conference talks and training (customer and internal)
* Sound decision-making
* Action-oriented
* This position is expected to perform assay work at the bench(including
presentations to customers/interaction with customers)
* Good communication skills internally and externally
* Being a team member and share the team objective
Education:
* PhD-Biochemistry/Cell Biology/Bioanalytical Sciences
Experience:
* Working in a pharmaceutical drug discovery HTS laboratory or an applications lab for system/reagents vendor
* 5+ years lab bench work: Proteins; Cell Biology; Biomolecular Screening
