Qualifications
Required Skills
* Extensive understanding of capital instrumentation sales and capital budgeting
in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries
* Must be fluent in English, with excellent presentation skills (preparation and
presenting).
* Previous management of capital equipment and assay sales into the Lead ID,
Target ID/Validation, Lead Validation/Optimization processes of the drug
discovery & development process
* Good data analysis and presentation skills, must be PC fluent, and know
MicroSoft Office products
* Extensive biochemical, cell-based assays, HTS industry hands on assay
experience
* Demonstrated customer resolution, training and problem solving skills
* Extensive understanding of drug discovery technologies and applications
* Ability to travel up to 80%, internationally as well as within Canada
* Previous management skills, commercial and multi-disciplinary technical teams Desired Skills
* Able to manage multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural teams
* Previous experience managing applications lab, field applications or sales
personnel in the life sciences capital instrumentation industry
* Able to work to deliver sales and organizational objectives in a cross-functional
position

* Demonstrated network of industry contacts
* Takes initiative and is able to plan North American weekly, monthly and quarterly
Sales Operations activities
* Logical decision-making skills
* Able to work with team as well as lead.
* Able to present him/herself to customers and employees in a professional and
technical competent manner
Hours of work/work schedule/flex-time:
* 8 ?5 Monday ?Friday; Position to be field based, North East, following 3 months
intensive product training in Corning, NY
Travel Requirements:
* 70 ?80%, including International
Education:
* 4 Yr. Undergraduate degree (Science desired and required ) and MSc or PhD
desired (or relevant work experience)
Experience:
* Minimum 3 years work experience; HTS (Lead ID) operations at pharmaceutical
or biotech company; Assay development for HTS; coupled with 3 years life
sciences capital equipment sales experience into the pharmaceutical drug
discovery industry
