BioMedical Application Engineer

Living Microsystems is a startup company in Boston, MA, seeking exceptional talent to help develop a non-invasive application that provide pregnant women with accurate, and comprehensive prenatal clinical knowledge in the first trimester of pregnancy. Living Microsystems, Inc. is currently seeking to fill a position for an Application Engineer.

Responsibilities:

The candidate's primary responsibility will be to perform blood processing experiments using microfluidic systems, analyze data, and troubleshoot experimental hardware and systems. A sound understanding of engineering principles and mechanical orientation is required. Experience with microfluidic systems or cell biology is a plus. The candidate will also have the opportunity to learn and perform fluorescent staining and analysis of blood cells. The candidate must be a self-starter, well organized and be able to work in a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills are essential.

Requirements:

BS biomedical engineering, or a related discipline. 0-2 years experience in academic research and/or medical device industry is desired.
