Overview:
Cerionx, a venture financed, startup company is looking for a product engineer to aid in the development, design and production of a new, paradigm shifting cleaning product for the drug development industry. Cerionx, is introducing a device that cleans the tips of fluid handling devices using atmospheric plasma.Qualifications
BSEE. 2-7 years experience with an electrical or electro-mechanical products manufacturer. Experience with products/equipment used in the drug development process a strong plus. Knowledge of robotics a plus.
Duties:
This engineer will be involved in the development and testing of Cerionx* equipment. Specific duties may include:
- Developing specifications for new and existing equipment
- Working with internal and contract engineers to develop and document plasma cleaning products
- Working with marketing to specify and develop new plasma cleaning products, and modify existing products to better suit customer needs.
- Designing and running experiments which test the effectiveness of the plasma cleaning process, identify the critical process parameters and modifying designs for better cleaning performance
- Aid in life cycle testing of Cerionx* devices and developing improvements in reliability
- Working with Cerionx* contract manufacturing house to develop and implement production test and quality procedures
Essentially, this candidate will be supporting all of the activities needed to get a product from development into the hands of the customer.
This position will require a high energy person, who can get a lot done with a minimum of supervision. This person will have to be comfortable crossing functional/discipline boundries and to get a wide range of tasks accomplished in a short time. A great deal of latitude will be given to individuals who establish a track record for reaching their goals in a timely fashion.
