We are recruiting a Research Scientist I interested in joining a winning team who are dedicated to extending and enhancing human life while working to build the best clinical pharmacology program in the pharmaceutical industry.
Job Description/Responsibilities:
Ideal candidate will have expertise and practical experience in mammalian culture techniques with a strong working knowledge of cell biology, RNAi cDNA transduction methods including baculoviral and viral methods, developing stable cell lines and molecular biology. The candidateî–¸ responsibilities include the maintenance of at least 10 to 15 cell lines for high throughput screening and secondary follow-up assays using automated systems Tecan, SelecT and Cellmate. This candidate will have a strong working knowledge of cell line characterization tools including RT PCR, FACS sorting and analysis, in cell western technology, standard immunoblotting and immunocytochemistry. Image analysis and advanced fluorescence microscopy skills would be preferred. Should be familiar with rigorous quality control of cell lines and will be responsible for procurement of information in company wide reagent database. Must have excellent communication skills.
Job Requirements:
Development of cell based reagents RNAi cDNA transduction methods Baculo and Lenti Viral methods for disease biology targets. Utilize, develop and procure technologies for stable cell line development and maintenance. Perform quality control of cell lines using PCR and immuno fluorescence Guava, FACS and LICor based methods. Procure information in company wide database. Assist in membrane production and protein purification. This candidate should have a B.S. with a minimum of 79 years of relevant experience or an M.S. with a minimum of 45 years of relevant experience.
