Position Summary:
Validates the integrity and performance of computerized systems prior to
installation through the development and execution of technical system test
plans. Assure compliance with client and pharmaceutical companies?br>standards for computer validation. Develop test plans that will be executed
against applications and systems. Develop and implement test plans using
either standard manual execution or automated testing tools. Develop testing
for a variety of platforms including hierarchical, legacy systems and
relational, objected oriented systems.

Major Responsibilities: and Task Statements Essential Functions

?Manage the Integration /Regression and Systems testing process according to the CLS System Development Process (SDP). Tasks involved in this process include:
o Developing a comprehensive understanding of applications to be tested. This includes, but is not limited to: Reviewing CLS SDP documents to understand the history of the application. Working with Information Technology staff to understand the development of the application. Reviewing the applications developed for hierarchical, legacy systems or relational, object oriented systems.
o Developing test plans, according to CLS SDP, which comprehensively validates the functionality of new applications and/or application enhancements. This includes:Designing and creating test scripts to be executed manually. Designing and creating test scripts using automated testing tools. Executing manual or automated test scripts and following to resolution any errors encountered during testing. Verifying correctness and consistency of test results and documentation of testing. Organizing and conducting the reviews of test plan and their associated data. Developing and managing the timelines and project plans associated with testing plans. Keeping team informed of the status of the I/R testing project

?Represent Information Technology in internal and external audits.
o Take a leadership role in making presentations to auditors.
o Present to auditors a clear overview of the IT systems, procedures and SDP documents
o Answers auditor questions concerning IT systems and procedures
o Attends audits without IT management Manages all IT information pertaining to the audit

Nonessential Functions
?Responds to audit surveys and summary reports within defined deadline. Creates written overview of audit. Writes IT&S; response to audit findings. Coordinates review and approval of IT audit response.
?Answer questions and provide advise to IT staff and external users concerning SDP regulations.
?Assist users and IT staff in other validation efforts.
?Participate as necessary in Information Technology process improvements.
?Assist in the interviewing process for Validation Analyst.
?Record all business related activities in the departmental resource accounting system.

Position Specifications Required
?College degree required OR at least 3 ?5 years of systems validation and testing experience required.
?3 years of experience with technical system testing. 1 ?2 years experience with automated testing tools Preferred
?Experience with Visual Basic or object oriented programming tools
?Experience with relational databases, object oriented programming
?Three or more years of programming experience
?Experience validating applications in a highly regulated industry
?Demonstrated ability in time and project management
