TeamSoft Inc. is looking for a senior software guru to provide engineering and team leadership for application and database development in the pharmaceutical industry. The ideal candidate has over 5 years experience as a software technology lead, with demonstrated successes in project architecture and design, as well as 2-4 years line managerial experience for engineering groups.This position reports to the Director of Application Development in the Global Applications IT group. The successful candidate will have the ability to quickly come up to speed on a wide variety of systems spanning the ERP, CRM, pharmaceutical data management and LIMS spaces. The candidate will be a strong team motivator and alliance builder across IT disciplines to achieve on target deliveries to end users both within the company and for our customer base. The candidate will embrace change and know how to keep projects on track in a very dynamic organization. The candidate must have full software development lifecycle experience in commercial or industry settings, and be comfortable working with remote teams spanning multiple disciplines.
Key technology skills:
?OO design, Java, J2EE, JSP, C#, .NET, C++, C, database development (Oracle/SQL Server/SQL/stored procedures), distributed computing/SOAP/web services/XML/client server/socket/network protocols, API development, GUI development, web development, win32.
?Experience with MFC, Unix, HP3000 VMS, Fortran, shell scripting also helpful.
?The candidate will be expected to pick the best approaches amongst object oriented and agile methodologies to produce robust, flexible and reusable software systems. As projects vary in size from break-fix to interfacing commercial systems to multi-year design and build, a broad knowledge of development approaches is essential.
?In addition, the organization is in the process of developing and rolling out a new Software Development Lifecycle. The candidate should have experience in development and implementation of advanced structured software development methodologies (RUP/CMM, etc), and have participated in successful implementation by development teams.
?Team leadership will include continuously raising the bar on developer caliber and technology sophistication, and continuously optimizing performance on requirements, design, development, testing and deployment disciplines.
This position has a strong emphasis on non-technical people skills, and will work with diverse roles in the organization. The candidate will work closely with the Project Management Office, Business Analysis and Business/IT Relationship Managers to drive project vision, planning, charter and scope to achieve strategic priorities. The position requires very strong verbal and written communications skills, and will include a large degree of interfacing with non-technical end users, company management, vendors and diverse IT department personnel.
