The Software Development Manager is responsible for the management of software development at Gilson, Inc. This includes developing the overall system design and providing hands-on involvement in the detailed design, coding, code reviews, and testing of the software. The person will be responsible for managing the programmers to ensure the development and release of critical products for the company, while maintaining the utmost in product quality.
Requirements:
Minimum of BS in Computer Science (or closely related field).
Minimum 5 years of software design and development experience.
Minimum 2 years management experience in software design and
development including direct report personnel.
Direct design and implementation experience in .NET environment and an extensive knowledge of the principles of development environment.
Direct design and implementation experience using C# and other similar coding languages.
Expert understanding of project cycles, program management, software development and configuration management.
Additional Skills/Experience Desired:
Familiarity and experience with Installshield(version 9.0 and above)
Familiarity and experience with Oracle databases(personal 9i and above)
Familiarity with Microsoft design principles and other good programming practices.
Graduate degree in computer science(or related field).
