Gilson, Inc., an industry leader in the design and manufacture of analytical instrumentation has the following opening at our Middleton, Wisconsin location:

Programmer II:

The Programmer II position will write and debug control software for new HPLC/ automated liquid handling instrumentation and support products. This includes OQ software, alignment utilities, setup utilities and Active-X controls. This position is responsible for revisions, additions & enhancements to released software products. Also assists in the creation and execution of evaluation plans for unit, module & integration testing.

Requirements:
BS in Computer Science, or a closely related field
(An Associate degree and extensive pertinent experience may substitute for the education requirement.)

3 years experience in object orientated (OO)analysis, OO design and OO coding methodologies (minimum 2 object orientated projects with 30 or more classes each) in a product development capacity.

Solid knowledge of C# programming and development in .NET environment required .

Must be able to accurately estimate and maintain a project development schedule.

Excellent communication skills.

Familiarity with good programming practices

Additional Skills/Experience Desired:
Knowledge of Visual C++ and Microsoft Foundation Classes (MFC)..
Knowledge of database application programming and database administration.
Familiarity with Windows 2000 and Windows XP operating systems.
Familiarity with componentization models, such as .NET, CORBA, COM/DCOM, Active-X, DLLs.
