Velocity11 is seeking a Software Engineer to complement our Software Development Team. We are a technology company conceiving, creating, and delivering pioneering automation solutions for research that is revolutionizing the life sciences industry.

This position is located at our Menlo Park, California, headquarters. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, with the ability to work comfortably on both individual and team-oriented projects.

Responsibilities include:
Design, specify, develop and test new software products, both PC-based and embedded.
Develop software wrappers for third party instrumentation to plug in to our automation software platform.
Provide internal and external customer software support when necessary.

Job Requirements:
Demonstrated C++ programming skills in a product-development environment.
Direct experience programming for robotics and automation.
Demonstrated knowledge of MFC, ActiveX, and related software technologies.
Ability to provide clear and concise communication of product concepts and engineering requirements.
Ability to adhere to a quality control system that requires documentation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
At least 3 years of technical experience required.
C++ development experience in Windows and experience with Microsoft Visual Studio required.
TCP/IP, previous ActiveX development,and previous MFC experience preferred.
