Agencourt Bioscience Corporation, located in Beverly, Massachusetts, is a trusted provider of genomic services and nucleic acid purification products. We are dedicated to designing solutions for overcoming all of our clients' current and future discovery challenges. Agencourt is a dynamic and growing company that is committed to providing employees with a fast paced environment and a fun place to work. As a result of our significant growth, we have an immediate need for an Automation Engineer.

The Automation Engineer will implement various Genomic sequencing technologies included but not limited to SPRI DNA purification technology on various robotic platforms.

Primary job duties include:
?Write software on various robotic platforms, including PerkinElmer PlateTrak, Beckman Biomek FX/NX, Beckman 3K, PerkinElmer MultiProbe, Tecan Genesis, and Caliper/Zymark systems
?Assist with development of new protocols from an automation viewpoint; use skills in Visual Basic, C and/or C++ to develop software tools for QA/QC of pipeline and integration with Oracle 11i-based LIMS; support technical staff in technical aspects of daily operation
?Manage engineering efforts to enhance robotics performance and reliability
?Work with systems manufacturers to improve instrument throughput, usability and suitability
?Work with sales team and customers to implement SPRI protocols on client equipment
?Conduct user training and coordinate technical support

Qualified candidates will possess the following:
?BA in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with some Life Science background or a Bachelor of Arts in Life Science with strong technical skills is required
?Biochemistry of wet lab experience would be a plus
?Strong VB Programming skills are required (at minimum 3 years experience)
? 2+ years of experience programming liquid handling equipment
?Ability to travel domestically (25%)
?Good verbal and written communication skills
