This position serves as a primary liaison between Tecan-Austria/Global Solutions Managers and the Tecan-US organization. Responsible for delivering technical and marketing information to the Tecan-US sales force, aiding the US sales organization in applications support, installations and sales demonstrations where necessary. Additionally providing competitive information to the US sales organization and the parent organization(s), and providing marketing deliverables to support the MicroPlate products. Willingness and ability to travel up to 30%.

Qualifications:

Candidates must be self-starters, well organized, and able to grasp both sales & marketing and technical issues. Good verbal and written communications skills are needed and the ability to work well under pressure
- BS degree in Life Sciences field (Biology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Genetics, etc.)
- 3-5 years experience in related field sales support
- Practical computer experience in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of commercial/clinical/research laboratory procedures and investigative methods, with practical experience using microplate readers/washers a big plus.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with customers and internal associates.
- Ability to work well under pressure, to multi task efficiently.
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent technical communication (oral & writing) skills
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with diverse groups inside and outside of the organization
- Ability to prioratize
- Detailed oriented
- Must be self-motivated
- Ability to recognize potential problem areas and resolve them with confidentiality and integrity
- Ability to travel international, national, and regional.
- Flexibility to work hours when required
