Senior Automation SpecialistAs a successful candidate, you will optimize and perform high-throughput screens using state-of-the-art robotics and automated devices. You will apply your expertise in laboratory automation and robotics and your knowledge of biomolecular assays to help accelerate the identification of small molecule drug candidates. You will integrate new devices onto existing platforms and help identify and evaluate promising new HTS technologies. Additionally, you will help guide the selection and purchase of a state-of-the-art automated compound storage and retrieval system, and assume responsibility for its operation.
Hands-on experience with automated devices for liquid handling, plate washing and barcoding is essential. Practical experience with various robots such as Tecan, Cyclone, Biomek 2000 and FX, Twister, etc. Requires excellent analytical skills and ability to integrate various readers and automated devices with the corporate compound database.
MS or PhD degree in a scientific or engineering discipline with a minimum of five years experience in an automated laboratory environment.
