Lead Generation Biology group of Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research & Development L.L.C. has an opening for a screener/lab atomation specialist at Res. Associate/Ass. Scientist level. The position is located in Exton, PA but may require occasional trips to the Spring House, PA.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating high-throughput screens in search of lead molecules for pharmaceutical targets recommended by the therapeutic areas. This exciting and rapidly changing area includes evaluating assays, optimizing assays for robotic-friendly processes, programming robotic systems, running high-throughput screens, analyzing HTS data, counter-screening positives and reporting/presenting results. The successful candidate will also calculate and prepare test compound doses, as well as other reagents / solutions; will order, receive, inventory and store research-related laboratory items; will work as part of an interactive research team; will report results of studies back to team members and managers in a timely, thorough, organized and coherent manner; will seek to enhance experience and training through appropriate opportunities, reading of the scientific and technical literature and communication with experts. Such a position requires an energetic, highly organized and motivated individual skilled in critically evaluating scientific results.

The successful candidate will have possess MS level training or BS 3 years experience; have 2 years HTS experience, particularly with regards to lab automation and support; have experience in multiple assay formats; be technically accomplished, creative, and demonstrate good communication skills.
