Pioneer Hi-Bred International, Inc, a DuPont Company, is the world leader in the discovery, development and delivery of elite crop genetics. We have two Project Manager openings in our Technology Integration Services - Laboratory Automation Group. The successful candidates will be scientists, with strong software development skills and automation expertise, who are able to work independently and as team members to lead in the design, development, integration and support of laboratory automation software and hardware solutions that will enhance biotechnology research in plant genetics.

Responsibilities will emphasize both technical and leadership skills, especially focusing on software development for instrument control, instrument interfacing, sample tracking, data acquisition and data analysis. Other responsibilities may include project management, laboratory automation integration, mechanical systems design and testing, and the management of vendor and outsource collaborative relations. The Project Manager should be trained as a scientist, holding at least a Bachelor's Degree in molecular genetics, similar biological science area, or analytical chemistry, and thoroughly understand biotechnology laboratory processes. The successful candidate will demonstrate a mastery of software development (especially utilizing Visual Basic.NET) and at least three years of relevant experience in project management in laboratory automation.
