ASSOCIATE RESEARCH SCIENTIST I
Exelixis, Inc.

Exelixis, Inc., located in South San Francisco, is a leader in the discovery of high-quality novel targets for several major human diseases, and a leader in the discovery and development of new drug therapies specifically for cancer and other proliferative diseases.

This individual will be responsible for executing focused synthetic chemistry libraries. In addition they will be developing and maintaining analytical and automation hardware.

Requirements: BS in Chemistry with 1-5 years experience in a relevant laboratory setting. Experience with automated organic synthesis as well as analytical and purification techniques are highly desired.
Physical requirements: Occasionally required to lift up to 20 lbs. Occasional bending and frequent sitting and standing. Good eyesight and the manual dexterity to handle glassware, instruments and related scientific apparatus. Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form. Ability to operate a computer keyboard. Ability to navigate throughout the facility.
