Electrical Engineer for laboratory automation system development:

Rigaku is the world leader in X-Ray crystallography systems. We provide X-ray generators, detectors, goniometers, and automation systems of protein and small molecule crystallography for pharmaceutical and semi-conductor industries.

We are now looking for an electrical engineer to join us at The Woodlands, TX headquarter to develop automated motion control systems. The engineer will act as part of a team that designs, implements, validates automated systems and provides customer support.

Responsibilities to include (individually or as a team):
-Use standard components to build circuits to monitor and control automated machines
-Program robots, electrical and pneumatic motion control systems
-Install systems
-Create high-quality system documentation such as schematics, user manuals, and training materials
-Train customers
-Provides customer support before and after sales
-This position requires occasional long work hours and travel, both domestic and international

Desired Qualifications:
Success in this dynamic position will require the application of broad skills: Self-starter, hands-on automation experience (both electrical and software), good judgment, and team player
Requirements:
*BS in electrical engineering or equivalent
*2-3 years hands-on experience in developing automated systems with laboratory automation preferred
*The candidate must posses a customer-oriented approach that puts the needs of the customer first. Attention to detail, the ability to write clearly, and teamwork skills are a must.
*Legal US resident
*Capable of lifting 20 pounds without getting injury
