(LC/MS Specialist)
The In Vitro Group within the Department of Drug Metabolism at Merck is seeking a highly motivated scientist for an LC/MS Specialist position in our Rahway, New Jersey facility. Our group consists of ambitious professionals with diverse scientific backgrounds and is involved in the development of new assay technologies in the area of drug transporters, enzyme induction, and cytochrome P450 inhibition. Newly developed assays are implemented to support both our early discovery and late-stage development programs. In this multidisciplinary environment, you will be responsible for development, validation, implementation and support of semi-automated in vitro screening assays.
The successful candidate must have a Bachelor or Masters degree in a science discipline. An interest in laboratory robotics systems and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry is required (ample training opportunity will be provided). To contribute to our drug development process, you must also have strong teamwork abilities, and excellent oral/written communication skills.
