R&D; Engineer - BiosensorWe are currently seeking an experienced R&D; engineer who can bring innovation to our sensor technology. We are in particular looking for a candidate that has extensive experience in sensor packaging and hands on experience in MEMS fabrication processes and testing.
Responsibilities:
ench level ?engineering utilizing labview to assist in the design, fabrication, and testing of MEMS sensor packaging as well as performance optimization of MEMS sensors in BioScale bioinstruments and consumables for our pathogen/protein detection platform.
Materials selection and fabrication for components to be used in a MEMS device.
Develop unique test fixtures in order to validate bio assays currently under development.
Work in development of new MEMS based sensor systems or enhancements to existing systems as well as research, design, development of cost effective MEMS consumables utilizing the latest packaging and fabrication techniques utilizing SoildWorks.
Requirements:
Industrial application of the following skills in a MEMS environment: fluid systems and fluidics, surface chemistry, materials selection and characterization, heat transfer modeling, hermeticity testing, magnetic, automated micro fluidic dispensing system.
Demonstrated experience in obtaining governmental or private funding, proposal writing and project management.
BS/MS in electrical engineering, mechanical engineer, or related disciplines and 3+ years of commercial experience with MEMS based biosensors.
