Title: Research Associate Automation

Responsibilities
We are seeking a Research Associate with experience in the areas of automation and robotics. The candidate will work in the Automation group developing and supporting methods on liquid handling robotics for our commercial and research labs. Experience with automated liquid handling systems such as the Beckman Biomek FX, Biomek 2000 or similar is required. Experience programming automated equipment or experience with Visual Basic, VB Script, Java, TCL, or similar is required.

Specific Responsibilities include:

* Develop and support automated methods on liquid handlers in our commercial and research labs
* Maintain liquid handlers, including routine maintenance and calibration
* Maintain inventory of consumables for liquid handlers
* Train automation users


Qualifications

* BS in Engineering, Chemistry, or Life Science
* Experience with Beckman Biomek FX , Biomek 2000 or other similar
* Programming using Visual Basic, VB Script, Java, TCL or similar
* Experience with Molecular Biology
* Strong written and verbal communication
* 3 years experience
* Ability and desire to work in a team environment supporting regulated and research laboratories
