Clinical Laboratory Operations Director

A client located near San Diego, CA is seeking a Clinical Laboratory Operations Director. Here is more information:

This company was formed in 1976 to provide clinicians with better assay components in order to provide more sensitive diagnostic tests. They are currently one of the world's largest manufacturers of medical diagnostic products. They rank among the largest bio-tech employers in San Diego County.

They are looking for a career minded, highly motivated individual who has clinical laboratory experience in a stand-alone lab. This person will be responsible for the daily operational activities of the laboratory and will manage, coach, and evaluate the staff. Must have a current California C.L.S. license, and a minimum of 5 years management experience in a clinical laboratory. Requires excellent technical and supervisory skills and a keen knowledge of laboratory instrumentation. ISO, cGMP, GLP and LIMS experience helpful. Must have budgeting and cost reduction expertise.

Description: Management of stand-alone Clinical Laboratory. Will be responsible for budgeting and cost reduction, as well as operational supervision.

Qualifications: Requires excellent technical and supervisory skills and a keen knowledge of lab instrumentation. ISP, cGMP, GLP and LIMS experience helpful.
