KAPSCI Our Client, an established pharmaceutical company focused on small molecule drug discovery and compound library generation for partnered companies, currently has the following newly created opportunity located in the suburbs of Boston.

SENIOR INVESTIGATOR

We are seeking a highly creative Ph.D., Analytical Chemist with 7+ years pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience and a proven track record of managing high performance teams. You must have strong scientific credentials (publications, patents, presentations) in quality control and/or the characterization of small molecules utilizing mass spectrometry or other separations science technologies. Experience with high-throughput (HTP) characterization is a strong plus.

You will lead and direct a team of 13 (BS, MS, and PhD) who will focus on performing methods development and HTP characterization of parallel synthesis products whose goal is to select potential lead compounds most likely to have drug-like properties. You will be responsible for maintaining the team on the cutting edge of high throughput characterization and analytical methods development and be able to respond to the changing needs of external collaborators. In addition you will have strong internal interaction with peers from synthetic chemistry and parallel synthesis operations to assure an efficient and productive work flow
