Andy Zaayenga Disposable PocketTips(tm) enable nanoliter pipetting

Disposable PocketTips(tm) enable nanoliter pipetting. There are many 96 and 384-well pipettors used in the pharmaceutical industry for drug discovery today. However, the ability to precisely, accurately, and reliably pipette nanoliter volumes of compounds and reagents with disposable tips remains elusive. PocketTips can pipette as little as 10 nanoliters of any fluid. Disposable PocketTips are compatible with all 96 and 384 well pipettors, including all Beckman, PE, Tecan, and Zymark models. In addition, PocketTips work with all handheld pipettors, enabling tight process control from bench assays through highly automated ones. The first production tips will fit all older 96-channel BioMeks, CRS, TekCel, and RapidPlate pipettors. In this poster, we will show how PocketTips work, present dispensing data, and discuss a variety of applications from assay-in-a-tip to compound plate spotting to serial dilutions.
