My client is a large pharmaceutical firm located in Boston, and they seek an expert in chemistry automation to lead a group of medicinal chemists to augment drug discovery efforts. The ideal candidate will devise, communicate, and execute strategies to deliver compounds with desired properties utilizing appropriate automated or manual multiple parallel chemical synthesis techniques, in conjunction with ongoing medicinal chemistry efforts. In addition, the candidate will ensure that automation and analytical support capabilities are wisely utilized to ensure high quality synthesis output consistent with group standards.

The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Chemistry, with 8+ years experience post-Ph.D, including at least 5 years of industrial experience in medicinal chemistry. In addition, the ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in utilizing automated and manual multiple parallel synthesis techniques, as well as demonstrated excellence in applied synthesis techniques and project leadership.
