Research Associate - Oncology Genetics

Novartis Institutes for Biomedical Research is seeking a Research Associate to add to our growth in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Minimum Requirements: The candidate should possess a Bachelors or Master degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology with at least 3 years relevant experience. Proven hands-on laboratory skills with a variety of robotic equipment, cell culture techniques, cell assay development, and FACs. Experience with molecular biology techniques, gene cloning and expression and RNA interference will be an advantage.

Job Description: The candidate will join a newly formed Research Oncology group that is responsible for the testing and thorough validation of oncology targets. The candidate will be involved in protocol development and operation of the robotic equipment to perform HTS experiments. The successful candidate will have knowledge in the development of biochemical/cellular assays and interpretation of data from high throughput experiments. Experience with programming in PERL or Visual Basic is an advantage.
