TEKCEL APPOINTS DR. FRANK CRAIG TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS


Hopkinton, Massachusetts, USA, May 27, 2003 -- TekCel, a leading innovator of discovery process management productivity tools for life science research, is pleased to announce that Dr. Frank Craig has joined the company's Board of Directors.

His extensive business experience in developing and commercializing novel life science technologies will be instrumental in further expanding our product offerings as we move forward."

Dr. Craig has 10 years of international management experience in the areas of research and development and business development. He has worked for both biotechnology start-ups and global companies and has comprehensive knowledge of the life sciences industry. Currently, Dr. Craig has his own management and consultancy business, which has an international client base in the biotechnology sector. Previously, he held various positions with Amersham Biosciences, including Vice President of Research and Development and as a member of an executive team managing a global business unit that generated $160 million in annual revenue. Dr. Craig also co-founded Aurora Biosciences Corporation (purchased by Vertex in 2001), a firm that pioneered ultra high throughput screening (uHTS), and worked for GlaxoSmithKline in new lead discovery. He has a Ph.D. in Microbiology from the University of Glasgow and an MBA from Warwick Business School.
