We are looking for additional team members to join our Technology Development efforts in the following position:

Technology Development Specialist II (Automation Engineer)

We are seeking a seasoned professional to work in a small team and optimize our utilization of existing automation in a high-throughput environment. Ideal candidate will have the ability to develop, implement and modify protocols for the following integrated systems and robotic workstations: Tecan Genesis RSP Liquid Handlers, Qiagen BioRobots 3000 & 8000, Beckman-Coulter Biomek FX core System, Robbins TANGO 96 Channel Liquid Handler and Zymark SciClone ALH 500.

Proven ability to troubleshoot equipment to either prevent the need for vendor service calls or focus external service technicians to the exact problem is required. This position will interact with Molecular Biology, Protein Biochemistry, Crystallography and Chemistry groups to improve our flexibility in utilizing our existing equipment in creative ways to enable difficult assays.

The preferred candidate should have a BS/MS degree with a minimum of 3+ years experience in an industrial high-throughput screening laboratory. Candidate must have extensive computer skills and through knowledge of the following applications: MS Excel, Access, and Word. Ability to import files for robot worklists, create spreadsheets, use macros in Excel, and file management required.

A successful candidate will be customer focused, work well with others, and have a mechanical aptitude to assist with overall automation projects. Excellent communication, organizational, technical writing, and presentation skills are essential

Candidates must have the ability to prioritize objectives and work in conjunction with other members of the organization to meet timelines and objectives. A successful candidate will be a self-starter, highly motivated, and work independently
