dmarshman A young, dynamic biotech company that develops high-value products for proteomics and genomics applications has an exciting opportunity for a scientific professional with customer support experience.

The successful candidate will assist Sales Specialists to promote, educate, demonstrate and support products to customers in the field. Works to identify opportunities to improve existing products and for new product and business opportunities. Delivers scientific lectures to high level investigators and presents products at scientific meetings and trade shows. Establishes a network of high level customers or opinion leaders who are respected in the field and
knowledgeable about the company's products and target audience. Assists Marketing and R&D; to test new product concepts and in market introduction of new products such as alpha and beta testing.

Note: The position will initially be a temporary assignment (4-6 months), beginning 4/1/03 with the option to convert to a permanent full-time position.

Requires a Master or Bachelor Degree or higher in the Life Sciences plus 2-3 years of related business experience. Customer support and/or teaching experience of technical material is required. Also requires 2-3 years related experience in laboratory research using Molecular Biology techniques, or equivalent, preferably in a Drug Discovery/HTS environment. Proven team player and self-starter who is result and success oriented. Excellent interpersonal
skills, relationship management skills and written and verbal communication skills.
