drm2115 Senior Staff Scientist - Screening ADME/TOX - New Jersey

We have been asked by a leading neuropharmaceutical drug development company working in the field of learning and memory disorders to assist them in their search for an Senior Staff Scientist - Screening ADME/TOX who will be to discover and implement the use of new in vitro models to provide Pharmacokinetic and Toxicological data in Medium Throughput Screening format. Our client's goal is to become the leader in the discovery and development of memory-enhancing drugs known as cognition enhancers. This position is located in New Jersey.

They are seeking someone Ph.D. in Pharmacokinetics, Drug Metabolism, Toxicology, Biochemistry or related discipline plus 6 years directly related experience (they will consider a Master's level candidate with 8 years experience). This person must all have experience with demonstrated accomplishments in design and implementation of; in vitro metabolism/inhibition assays, in vitro permeation assays, blood-brain barrier models. The successful candidate will also have significant expertise in techniques, which include enzyme kinetics, cell based assays, HPLC, LC/MS and regulatory issues/concerns (Good Laboratory Practices/ICH) as well as a high degree of computer literacy to support computational models (Pharmacokinetics and toxicology models in support of metabolic stability/induction/inhibition, CYP Pathways, permeation and cytoxicity). Demonstrated experience in handling and use of radioisotopes in conducting in vitro ADMET studies is also desired.
