Title: Director/VP High Throughput Screening
Position Deliverables:
The Director/VP of HTS will manage a highly motivated team of scientists in Infinity HTS group. Working in conjunction with the Molecular Biology and Chemistry groups, the Director/VP will provide critical input into the design, development and execution of HTS assays. The Director/VP of HTS will also be responsible for the deployment and integration of appropriate automation systems for Infinity increasing screening volume.
Position Requirements:
Possessing a PhD or equivalent experience in a relevant area of biology (molecular biology, pharmacology, cell biology or related discipline coupled with a strong understanding of chemistry), the Director/VP will meet the following qualifications:?command of omplex?screening; which will encompass both whole cell and high content;
?familiarity with the areas of assay design, development and implementation are essential;
?a strong grasp of automation and key issues surrounding high throughput screening and an understanding of compounds and compounds management;
?a working knowledge of Activity-Base or similar HTS enabling software; and,
?a results-oriented and strategic approach to drug discovery and the ability to understand and contribute to Infinity overall business strategy.
To meet these requirements, the candidate will have extensive experience in managing HTS in an industrial environment. The Director/VP will have the interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with a first rate scientific team, and will play a critical role in determining and meeting the discovery goals of the entire company.
