Position Deliverables:
?Help build and run an emerging phenotypic screening group
?Help identify, assess and integrate whole cell imaging equipment and screening methods
?Build strong relationships with interfacing organizations; disease biology, chemistry, KM and IT and technology information systems
?Develop assays into robust screening tools
?Implement plan to run around 12 screens in 2003. The screens will vary between 40k and 120k in compound number.
?Help identify, assess and integrate HTS processing equipment and robotics
?Help envision, build and implement a highly efficient and robust system
?Supervise HTS technologists
?Assume responsibility for the educational and career development of technologists in the group

Position Requirements:
?Scientist with 5 ?10 years of experience in HTS
?Experience with all aspects of implementing and running a sustained HTS campaigns a must
?Whole Cell screening experience a plus
?Experience with compound management a plus
?Experience with assay development and movement of assays into a high throughput format a must
?Experience with identifying and integrating HTS equipment and robotics a plus
?Supervisory experience a must ( 3+ subordinates )
?Excellent communication skills a must
