Sondra Fuller For our long time (6+ years) biotech client, we are seeking an experienced and talented Mechanical Enginner with strong design capabilities.
* This individual will perform analysis of complex mechanical,fluidic and control sytems and design the hardware to address the stated problems.
* S/he will support design of the hardware for internal and external customer use.
* Incorporate design for manufacturability principles into product design.
* Coordinate and conduct fabrication and assembly, as well as integration and system testing.
* Interact with cross-disciplinary project teams in order to meet project milestones and goals.
* Project management and leadership in small cross-functional teams.
* Estimate timeliness and budgeting for engineering development efforts.
Education and Experience:
* BS in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, MS preferred.
* Minimum 7 years professional experience.
* Product development for life sciences industry preferred.
* Experience designing manufacturing fixtures, tooling and automation.
systems.
* Fundamental understanding of material scienceand material properties, particularly ferrous/non ferrous metals and polymers.
* Experience with SolidWorks or similar solid modeling design software.
* Basic understanding of machining and standard manufacturing processes.
* Experience in biotech, biomedical or semiconductor industries preferred.
