Screening Department at the Merck Research Laboratories-Boston currently has an opening for a Research Scientist position- Compound Management. This position requires hands-on experience in compound management in the screening environment, including compound inventory management, compound dissolution and preparation of stock solutions, preparation of dose-response screening plates and plate replication. Expertise in operating, troubleshooting and maintaining robotic workstations and knowledge of common application software is required.

Qualifications
Qualified candidates must have a B.S. or M.S. degree in Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, Biochemistry, Chemistry, or related science, plus 1 to 3 years laboratory experience, preferably in industry. Strong PC and software programming skills as well as knowledge in the operation and maintenance of automated liquid handling systems are highly desirable. Attention to detail, ability to multitask, and strong written/verbal communication skills are essential.
