?Participate in the early phases of development cycle by interfacing with the design engineers and review specs or component samples. Develop initial test procedures on concept models that simulate design intent.
?After initial design approval and prototype build, develop and test methodologies that identify product/component failure points.
?Conduct independent technical investigations involving the application of a variety of mechanical engineering principles in the origination or modification of components or process requirements.
?Develop methods and test equipment to simulate specific human movements, design and construct robots to simulate repetitive motion.
?Design major components of a test system using pertinent machine design factors such as maintaining load and data acquisition conditions, material selection, efficiency and durability.
?Assist cross-functional engineering teams in increasing product development to two new products per year by staggering projects.

QUALIFICATIONS:

?BS Mechanical Engineering; minimum or 5 years experience with devising mechanisms used to test components or assemblies. Pneumatic and hydraulic system design experience a plus.
?Experienced with reliability engineering or statistical techniques when evaluating a design.
?Experience with data acquisition systems, test and measurement equipment, PLC, etc.
